Tracy Robb: Evansville, Indiana Photographer
Tracy Robb currently serves as Associate Professor of Visual Arts at Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville, Indiana. Her specialties include digital montage and alternative processes in photography. The subject of her work varies from animal portraits and landscapes to cinematic montage. Her tools of photographic montage consist of mostly naturally occurring light, a Canon 5D and Mac computer. “I am ever fascinated by the metamorphosis from new to old, and the textures in areas of high contrast and gentle subtleties visually and emotionally.”
She constructs narratives that speak to the innocence of childhood, poignancy of aging, familial relationships and how human beings are deeply connected to our environment. Between building the digital narratives there is much photographic exploration to be done in areas of Landscapes, Nature and Portraiture of animals. Most recently her interests in animal portraiture have been taking the lead as the main genre of her photography.
She holds Bachelor of Science degree from University of Southern Indiana and a Master of Fine Art degree from Savannah College of Art and Design. Tracy’s work has been featured in many national publications including Graphis 2010 international Photography Annual, Camera Arts and Photographers Forum Magazines. Her work has also been exhibited locally, internationally and purchased for private collections.
