Cherry Blossom Sale & Futurity
While thousands will be celebrating the blossoming of the cherry trees – a special gift from Japan to the United States in 1912 – there is still another reason to head to Virginia – the annual Cherry Blossom Sale.
Ben Gravett of G&G Longhorns recognized that the Cherry Blossom Sale was important to the Longhorn breeders in the eastern half of the U.S., and provided an opportunity for breeders across the country to get access to cattle from some excellent breeding programs. The TLCA wanted to continue with the Cherry Blossom Sale as a testament to Ben Gravett’s love of the Longhorn breed.
Held each year in Culpeper, this sale has become well known by breeders on the East Coast. Local breeders really step up to consign their best cattle, and breeders from across the country have recognized the quality coming out of the east.
Friday night’s events include a fun social gathering at the beautiful home of Ann Gravett. This has been one of the highlights of the event with amazing food, refreshments, and great camaraderie. Saturday’s sale includes great cattle at the Culpeper Agriculture Enterprise.
Don't miss out on the party on the East Coast !
